Colouring Dreams

That's the drawing I always tried my hands at. Right from my childhood :) I guess initial childhood days, once it got me one prize also... Tried replicating it over paint application. :)) in windows operating system. I agree with you...me not that great artist but then that's my art. It doesn't need expertise. All it needs is dreams........

wat say ;) ?

Lost Spring

This article was written by me on 2nd August, 1992 when we lost someone we really loved...our great Baijaan jee. He suffered a major heart attack in the early hours of that day and the fight didn't last for long. We lost him there.

The atmosphere was filled with humid air, when the dry eyes flooded again demanding for something, someone that perhaps no one could tell. What happened is still a mystery but the damage was irreparable. Excuses were many, but unfortunately - the bird had left his cage much earlier - the cage was no longer useful.

It was just on 2nd of Aug, 1992 when the thunderbolt struck again and the man felt some pain in the heart. Not sensing it to be dangerous one, he misguided it. Ill-luck on the man was that he got a severe attack. Sooner, he was shifted to ICU. It was just there when the tug of war started between the impatiently waiting cruel jaws of death and the man who was perhaps weakened by his own life.

The time was crucial but the result was foreseen. Still, having a faith on that idol of worship - no body was accepting the unrealistic truth that was just to enter the room. Soon the knocking was over. The shivering legs suddenly became calm. The black clouds, all of a sudden, made their presence felt with that shivering sound. The story was left uncompleted. The WAR was over.

FUTURE BECAME PRESENT AND THE PRESENT WAS OVER, FAR BEHIND IN THE CHAPTER OF PAST.

Footprints on the sands of time were washed by the tides. The Page was changed and the new page took its turn. However, the flooded eyes are still waiting for the lost spring to come.

Will it come again ?

You are meant to be here

Read this over the net and liked it...putting it down for reference

"whoever you are, there is some younger person who thinks you are perfect. There is some work that will never be done if you don't do it. There is someone who would miss you if you were gone. There is a place that you alone can fill."

Fox And The Grapes

This story was originally written by me on 05 Dec 1994. I am just copying the contents here from the paper thats loosing color and may not survive another attack from silverfish. I do own up the grammatical mistakes this may carry but would really prefer you to look for the meanings. And yes - this is copyright material. Any attempt to duplicate, copy or transmit this invites trouble...lol

Background of this story : This thought originated from my imagination on how my friend would have taken the scenario when he did not qualify for the engineering seat. None of this conversation actually happened and is purely an imagination work.

The story starts.......

"He did it and you are still laughing like a buffoon. You still dont realise that you are defeated", said the Mother. Silent, perhaps finding words to answer the reply but failing at this attempt , "Mother, you know Mother, the scope of engineering is over. These people are just following the Caravan. I will do something different, certainly something different", trying to calm down the tides that ruled the silent ocean, creating havoc but still, not letting them to impact the sorroundings.

Mother went away but her words pierced deep into the ocean drilling the rocks that lied at its bottom. He came to me and just asked - " Rahul, do you know the story - Fox And The Grapes". "Yes, I do", I replied, smilingly over my knowledge of the title. "Do you know the story ?" he questioned again. "Certainly yes, its really enjoyable. I did study that when I was quite young", replied I comfortably". Have you ever realised, what feelings must have gone through Fox's mind, when he really failed to satisfy his Thirst ? ", was his next question.

My earlier grin was perhaps ashamed of the reality and my teeth did manage to hide themselves behind the curtain of lips. I became a bit serious. " Why are you questioning like a kid !! ", diverting the main thought of his question, I tried to make way.

"You know", I continued, " Our teacher while telling this story explained to us that the Fox was very clever and greedy so he couldn't reach at the grapes and he simply referred to them as sour. What's big deal about that ! ".

"Rahul, don't you think, the Fox must have gone through some pain when he was defeated. Don't you think, he was just giving sympathy to his mind over his defeat". Now, I stood confused. Finally letting myself go deep into this thoughts, I asked - "What happened ?". "Nothing, Nothing in particular" was his immediate reply. He continued - "You know, I was very tense today. Rahul, I really felt defeated today. I just couldn't take my mother's remarks". And finally, the eyes lost control over the suspended tears. They rolled down, deep into the dust with wet markings. Bruises started bleeding. The boy, who never got discouraged, the one who always mingled defeat with success was finally tired. He was Broken.

"Don't worry", I tried to cover up - "wait for the wave that let you here. She will definitely carry you out there at the corner of success. Success is in your mind. Realise it and you will have it. Do believe in yourself and success will come down licking your feet". He went away somewhat relieved but then I kept thinking - The Fox surely was broken at his continous attempts but then -

Were the grapes really Sour ?

Bitter Truth

Was wondering today how 'lies' add spice in life :)...You may wonder at this naive thought of me but then Truth looks so bland in itself...Don't you feel so ?

Ah, I hear someone saying 'Truth is bitter'.....Yups, I agree but then isnt it TRUE that the lie which preceded before made it so bitter...Now here, I would leave you thinking...I rest my case :)

Beyond The Barriers..

this was my first attempt at poem for someone I truely loved ...

Beyond the Barriers, I think,
More than a friend, so to say
Caring, Affectionate and something more,
I do want to say
Ah! the very words don't get their way,
More precise I get, the less different you look
Still my words fail in their meaning,
They get converged in their views.
To explain your nature to you,
The sentences, I wear loose their pear
And, their I stand ...unable to specify
the very words......, O my dear..

Errata : I guess I still love ;)

Random Thoughts

* The best way to be in shape is to pet your tensions
* I let my words own up the responsibilty to tell their meaning.
* Sometimes all we need is corners to stand.
* I somehow feel that sometimes ...answers are so simple - all it depends is how you frame the question.
